RECTORY
LANE, LYMM - temporary closure of bus stops near The Cross
from
WEDNESDAY 8th MARCH 2010
Due to traffic
congestion caused by temporary traffic lights at Pepper
Street/The Cross in Lymm Village Centre, the bus stops at the
above location will be closed temporarily, to help ease traffic
congestion. Alternative bus stops will be located close to
Barclay's Bank and opposite there for Svc.6 and the temporary
shuttle service. See also information given below regarding
roadworks in Lymm.
BRIDGE
STREET, WARRINGTON - temporary closure of bus stops
"CA" and "CB"
from
MONDAY 1st MARCH 2010
Due to United
Utilities' continuing upgrade of water mains in the Town Centre,
the bus stops on Lower Bridge Street (Stops "CA" and
"CB") will be closed to enable the works to take
place. They are expected to be closed for up to four weeks.
Intending
passengers should use the bus stops ("BA" and
"BB") in Rylands Street as the alternative facility,
as replacement bus stops cannot be located nearby.
BRIDGE
STREET, WARRINGTON, closure to traffic after 21:00 all days of
the week.

SUNDAY 28th FEBRUARY 2010
As part of the
council's Arcangel project, Bridge Street (and part of Rylands
Street, between Barbauld Street and Bridge Street) will be
closed to traffic ALL WEEK as an extension to the Thursday to
Sunday closure already in force. Additionally Friars Gate will
become one-way in a westbound direction only from the same date.
As a result buses
that would normally use these streets after 21:00, will be
diverted to operate via Bold Street, Wilson Patten Street,
Bridge Foot to Mersey Street, with services to the south of
Warrington, continuing on their normal routing via Warrington
New Bridge and eastbound buses continuing along Mersey Street,
then either Fennel Street/Brick Street or Church Street and as
normal route(s).
Inward services
from the south of Warrington will operate as normal route to
Warrington Bridge, then via Mersey Street, Academy Street, to
Scotland Road to Warrington Interchange. Inward services from
the east of Warrington are unaffected by this closure.
ROADWORKS
IN LYMM
from
WEDNESDAY 24th FEBRUARY 2010
We have been
advised that the gas main renewals in Lymm Village will close
New Road to through traffic from the above date for 4 weeks.
This is a further phase of the Lymm Village gas main renewal
scheme.
Service
5
- Journeys
through Lymm will be diverted via Brookfield Road, Dane Bank
Road and Dane Bank Road East to Rush Green Road. Lymm Village
Centre will not be served by Service 5. A shuttle bus (timetable
here) will operate from Lymm Village Centre to/from
Brookfield Road between 06:29 & 09:03 and 16:48 & 19:32
to connect with Service 5. At other times passengers should
change at Brookfield Road to/from Service 6.
Service
6

Will serve Brookfield Road in both directions to offer
connections with Service 5 whilst Lymm Village is unable to be
served by through buses. At other times a Shuttle Bus (timetable
here) will be available for connections to and from
Lymm Village.
Service 38
-
Will operate via Brookfield Road, Dane Bank Road and Dane Bank
Road East for the duration of the works.
