TOWN'S BUSES BACKING THE BID

Network Warrington, the town's premier bus operator, today announced that it is supporting the bid to bring the 2013 Rugby League World Cup to Warrington.
100 buses will be proudly proclaiming "We're backing the bid" with the vinyl situated immediately above the entrance doors, all our customers and passers-by will see the Company's commitment to supporting the bid to bring Rugby League World Cup games to the town in 2013.
Commenting on the launch at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on 20 October, David Squire, Managing Director of Network Warrington said, "We have been impressed by the sheer hard work and commitment of the team that have submitted the bid, as the local bus operator, we felt it important to visibly demonstrate our backing of the bid, which will be such a great boost for the town and I would urge other local businesses to show their support in whatever way they can".
Over the next week, 100 buses in the Network Warrington fleet will be receiving the vinyls and the company's website and emails will also be using the logo to show our support and commitment to the bid.
Jan Souness, chair of the Rugby League World Cup big steering group, said: "I'm delighted Network Warrington is backing the bid. I'd like to thank them for showing their support in such a visible way - it makes a real difference. We will be hearing next month if we have been successful in our bid and will be sure to let everyone know the outcome".
Andy Gatcliffe, Warrington Wolves Chief Executive, said: "Network Warrington is a key partner in what we hope will be a successful bid. If we do become a host town this will result in the borough-wide community, including many businesses, greatly benefiting from the economic boost it will give to Warrington in 2013. In hosting world cup games, we will also have the opportunity to showcase what we in Warrington have to offer our visitors from around the world".
