NETWORK WARRINGTON SHORTLISTED FOR TWO INDUSTRY AWARDS

Network Warrington has reached the finals of the prestigious Route One Operator Excellence Awards. We have been short listed in the final nominations for the Operator Training Award and also the top award of Large Bus Operator of the Year.
Route One is an industry magazine, nominations for the awards are made from within the industry's suppliers and the judging team then whittle down the nominations to final shortlist.
The Awards will be presented at a ceremony at the National Motorcycle Museum on 5 October.
Commenting on reaching the finals, David Squire, Managing Director said "The letter telling us that we had reached the finals of the prestigious award came out of the blue, we have been pushing ahead with a programme to modernise the company and it is fantastic that all the hard work has been recognised by the industry suppliers that we work with, and impressed them enough to nominate us, and to then find that the judges have taken us forward to the finals in two categories is an excellent achievement, we are now keeping our fingers crossed for October!".

The was the first year that the company had competed and our drivers did themselves proud, David Morley finished in 48th place and Charlie Rowley came 50th. They competed in written exams to test their Highway Code and industry knowledge and a driving test along the North Promenade on a very wet and extremely windy day.
For a first attempt they did incredibly well, beating a number of seasoned competitors that attend each year.
Our photo shows David Morley (L) and Charlie Rowley (R) proudly showing their Competitors Certificates and tie badges.
Managing Director, David Squire, commented, "I am absolutely delighted for both David and Charlie, they did really well and can hold their heads high. They are within the top 50 of all UK Bus Drivers and at their first ever attempt, we are all really proud of them".
